If you are traveling on the I15 and need a break, take the Jean NV exit and go 7 miles up Goodsprings Road to end up at the Pioneer Saloon. It was built in 1913 and is a one of a kind place. They offer dry camping and a cook it yourself outdoor BBQ, plus of course a restaurant with good food and a bar. The history of this place is amazing. There is a big dirt lot that I have seen trucks parked in. In non COVID times, they did a lot of events for bikers, so I'd call them before I headed up to make sure they have parking available. Well worth the drive if you are a fan of quirky history (think bullet holes in walls, supposedly haunted, Clark Gable and Carol Lombard...lots of history here. Pioneer Saloon
Good on you starting this. It comes up every now and then, but disappears. This one I'll try to contribute to more diligently, once I get a new phone so I can take pictures with again.

I park at the Terrible's Truck Stop in Jean sometimes. Never knew that this was near. I have to check it out sometime. Another interesting thing in Jean, is the Chevron off the I-15. It's the biggest Chevron in the world. Inside is a White Castle and a huge gift shop.

Before that Chevron was there, there was another casino. It burned down in the mid to late 90s. BUT they had the best advertising ever...a sign that said "We will get you coming and going" :D

As I was going through some of my pics, I thought this might be a good thread to start. If there is one already existing, please point me in the right direction. I have quite a few from my travels, mostly in the West and definitely around Vegas.
If you are traveling up the I11, when you get north of Hoover Dam, stop by the Alan Bible Visitor Center. There is truck parking (not sure on overnight rules), but the most awesome thing is the Railroad Tunnels trail. If you do the whole 7 miles you go through 6 tunnels, but the first one is only a mile or so in. It's like walking on a dirt road. I've done the thing in flip flops, and even seen someone in a wheelchair at the first tunnel. Great place to stretch your legs (but be careful in summer temps please! Don't be a headline.)
