Covid 19 Vaccine Unavailabe To Drivers

Right, I'm sure there was absolutely no issue with a glitchy website, no human error whatsoever. It's not like basically everyone and their grandmother isn't trying to get an appointment at the same time you are. But go right ahead and continue acting like you're being persecuted, it's super appealing. :)

Many States are doing it by age and other criteria. How old are you?

My State pushed drivers to the 2d set of people. I could have gotten the shot...it is NOT a vaccine, it is gene therapy...because I am over 65. But I have turned it down and will not EVER get that shot.

A nurse at the Miles City VA told me that to use the VA, I had to get the flu shot. Coming out of the Air Force where all kinds of shots were mandatory, I accepted that. In 2000, we changed to the VA in Sturgis SD and there I was given a choice of getting the flu shot or not. Haven't had a flu shot since 1999 and haven't had the flu at all.

To maintain my health while driving, I take 10,000 iu Vit C, 10,000 of D3 and the max recommended for Zinc. I will be 70 this summer, am considered obese, had AFib and my heart shocked last year and have Multiple Sclerosis...tho I don't treat it and don't have symptoms. I should have gotten the Chinese Virus because I won't wear a mask...but between the Vitamins, no shots and no mask is probably why I am healthy!

You can have mine if you are that desperate for a gene therapy shot. Come to Idaho and use my address. LOL

Doesn’t your company have vaccines for their drivers that one want? Prime has shots available on Tuesday and Thursday to any of their drivers. Guess by what you’re saying, prime drivers will be the only vaccinated drivers??? Um 😟

You guys aren't getting it. First of all, I got confirmed. So the wrong zip thing is BS by them. The idea of the the 'right' zip code doesn't apply because there is no right zip code. It's a made up thing by them. You don't apply by zip code. That's the arbitrary part. No vaccines in any 'zip codes' for me. That's my point.

But I don't really see you guys thinking through the unfairness of the issue. And no I can't have your vaccine, because you don't have one. And you won't be getting one anytime soon. Do you not see all the people who are getting it that aren't you?

Bwahhahaha seriously? You are the one that said it was canceled because you were in the wrong zip code so just go to the vaccine site in the right zip code.

I also find it funny that you complain we dont support truckers just because we don't back your plan to go on strike to stick it to the man. You sir are the one trying to harm drivers rather than supporting them. Do you know how many drivers would be fired for going on strike to support you? You should probably join the black smoke matters group. You would be in like company and would find other drivers happy to join your strike, you probably wont get much sympathy or find any takers on your strike quest here.

What you don't realize is that the vast majority of drivers don't want the gene therapy shot.

Black Smoke Matters was a group with over 40,000 people on Facebook and they were an actual group that tried to have meetings so that truckers had a place to go to strike. Those drivers that had 30 + years on the road wanted trucking to go back to the way it used to be. I drove from 88 through 93, then I came back out in 2014. My first company did what I call soft fudging of paper logs. My second company was hardcore illegal running. My third company, after Company Number 2 was shut down by DOT , had to have ELD's. There is absolutely no reason to run illegal. Those guys with Black Smoke Matters had some good ideas but couldn't get a full-fledged strike going. Most people are driving to pay bills and have a better lifestyle for their family. As long as we have good trucks, good miles and decent Paychecks, drivers will not go on strike...especially over the Chinese Virus that has a 99% + cure rate.

I agree. Whether or not you want the vaccine, it should be available. Essential and all that...

The problem is that is it being given by states. So MO does it one way; NJ another..etc.

I have no intention of getting it. Although as Donna said prime is offering it in MO only. Any driver can get it but only at the one terminal.
