Good luck Andrey. We wish you the best, but you are taking a very difficult route. I don't doubt you will find something. I know there are those very type companies you are looking into. My good friend Daniel Babayev tells me how Russian people here in the states really trust each other and help each other. He won't even buy a used car unless it is from another Russian. I just fear you are going to run into the same issues you had with this last company. If something goes wrong they may end up terminating you. With each termination you are going to have to keep lowering your standards until you have no more options.

I hope it all works out well.

Aye comrade, this why its a good thing that true Russian trucking companies have no standards! Heartbeat? You're good to go! White Volvo, no governor, sandals only no shoes - let's goooo!

OMG! He swoops in and cracks my ribs again!

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

The word 'comrade' has too many meanings, my friend, so I would be hesitant to address unknown people with it :-) You will laugh, but white Volvo it is - I found a guy, obviously in Chicago, with a small company who is willing to hire me. Not sure about flip-flops though, I don't like them, but my trusted sandals from Israel will definitely work. Governor? I don't know yet, but hope there will be no such thing in my truck. Удачи на дорогах!

How did this thread go from bikes, to Western Express, to Russians in Chicago, to Israeli Sandals?!?!?

Well, here's a suggestion, if it matters:

A mental pirouette, indeed :-) To tell the truth, I did hope to hear and see some ideas how to bring a bike on a trip, but apparently it is not that common among drivers. I will write some kind of an update as soon as I start driving for my new company next week.

Andrey, your first language may be Russian, but you can still turn a good phrase in English - I like that one!

Over the past eight or nine years of driving everywhere imaginable, I have seen maybe three rigs with a bike mounted similar to the one in your photo. It is not common at all.
