Thank You Everyone!!

Had a long day of driving across Indiana, IL, MO, IA and into Neb. Fueled in Decatur IL on I-72 and found out my brother next to me in age had delivered and picked up some equipment for his company south of there. So while I fueled and grabbed a shower, he came up, bought me supper at Mickey Ds. Then he headed north and I headed west.

I will get to Cheyenne about 1900 tonight and in the morning on Weds, will meet up with my Son and d-i-l, who I haven't seen in 6 years.

Pretty good birthday all things considered.

I agree. That sounds like a pretty good birthday indeed. Not too many truckers get a birthday like that.

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
