Howdy, Amerah!

Nice name.. similar to mine, tbh...

Well...I've hauled asphalt with the other half for a few years... not oilfields, however. Just 6122 and 3257 (hot, not Hz) ....

ONCE WE HOOKED UP to the wrong hose .... only once. Caught it (they did) before epic failure. Those mo'fo's yelled to the nines; and ya know what? We bit the bullet; we were wrong. I actually handled "shyly" the whole thing.

If we would've off'loaded the wrong to the wrong.... it'd be CDL'NO ... WE CAUGHT our (my) mistake.. and meekly apologized. This is how to keep your head above WATER in this industry, m'lady.

If you let any & every rude burska hole bother you up..... maybe, look into becoming a dispatcher?!?!? YOU could be the condescending one.

It happens. Bite snow, move on!

From, a female has been & wanna be again!

Dispatcher:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

If you did that, you screwed up and you have no place to lose your temper at all! You bite the bullet, keep your mouth shut and continue on with what you have to do with that load... If it's just getting your BOLs signed, that's what you do with a smile. Doesn't matter if they are asshats or not, you screwed up. Hope you learned from that.
