I will thank you from the bottom of my heart Anne. As my avatar says my service connection and my entire family is veteran and active duty people I too wish all veterans a heartfelt thank you as you truly deserve it. America is free and strong today thanks to the bravery and commitment of our service veterans. No matter what, GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Thank you Anne from both my wife and I.

I have a bit of a different take on Veterans Day though. While I do appreciate the recognition, I personally owe a larger debt to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Most of my friends are Veterans and quite a few share a bit of the same sentiment although it’s probably because while in the service you constantly heard, thank you for your service. So much that you become tone deaf to it after a while. Even with that, it’s still nice to see that people do remember and it gives me hope that as a nation, we can stick together and defend our freedoms. Freedoms that so many others around the world don’t have.

God bless America and all the veterans who fought to defend our freedoms throughout the years. I am incredibly proud of our country and I have tremendous gratitude for those who risked everything to keep our country safe and free.

I pray we survive as a free nation and overcome the enemy infiltration we suffer through. Our military must play a critical role in protecting us from enemies, both foreign and domestic. I don't think there has ever been a time in our history when we were infiltrated so deeply by enemies bent on the destruction of our society and our country.

Down with the "woke" culture, illegal mandates, censorship, law-breaking, unconstitutional policies, and the enemies within.

Up with freedom of choice, rule of law, constitutional rights, strong police, strong military, and people of strong character.

We must overcome this tyranny. We will lose everything if we do not stand for our freedoms.

If you believe there is nothing more than a bad bug going around and good citizens should take their medicine, you are a pawn of our enemies. You are their boots on the ground. You are on the wrong side. We need you to wake up and see what is being done to our country. This is not about a bug going around. This is infiltration by those bent on our destruction. Welcome to warfare in the 21st century. It's not about tanks and bombs and guns anymore. It's about infiltrating and slowly destroying your enemies from within. We are losing this battle right now, but the war is not lost. We have time to wake up enough people to resist. Wake up before you realize too late that you are helping the wrong side. Do not comply!

I have a bit of a different take on Veterans Day though. .... it’s probably because while in the service you constantly heard, thank you for your service. So much that you become tone deaf to it after a while.

Was on active duty 72-75, 76-88. That was during and after VietNam....people didn't thank you for your service. Instead one got glared at or flipped off. I didn't get spit at, but I had a male friend that did around 1974 or 75. There were no major incidents, so people were not in "the Military are heros" mood. I'm still not used to being thanked.
