Rewinding to my health issue back in 2005, narcolepsy was ruled out in relation to Stevens issue. I drove for Cooke out of Mt. Airy for about a year after Stevens. I almost got into a fist fight with my co-driver due to a safety issue while fueling. Settled it but he decides to soak me thoroughly w water hose while washing the windows. It was close to 35 degrees. We both asked for a new co-driver after that run. I rode two runs with different drivers plus a few solo runs. I took an extra four days off, during this time a friend called w an emergency. His chef bailed on him. So I contacted Cooke who was cool w me taking more time. I never went back. I took over the kitchen for my friend.
Fast forward to now. I am type 2 diabetic but not insulin dependent. I also have "reoccurring Bells Palsy"! Which as per my Dr's I am the first patient they know of with this issue. I joke that I have on-demand Bells Palsy.
I would love to get behind the wheel again. Its all I think about. I know its not possible due to health issues and a personal f$&@ up I am dealing with. I am looking to stay in logistics. First in dispatch and then who knows.
