New Anthem Issues

I’ve been driving a new to me Anthem for a few weeks now. It’s only got 122k miles on it but the previous driver trashed it. I’ve been spending my down time trying to clean it up. Haven’t had any issues with it other then that stupid hood. Who ever designed that latch system needs to go back to school. All of our trucks (day cabs) have the same problem; the hood shakes, rattles and rolls with every bump and twist. Haven’t figured out a way yet to adjust it or make it stop. Another issue we are having is with the LED headlights. They’re pointing in every direction but where they need to be and blinding oncoming traffic but the shop says there no way to adjust them 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’ve gotta see if there’s a way to do it. As for the engine brake, mine works but it’s very sporadic.

Ok ya I’ll second that hood rattling lol it drives me nuts. Also the covers on the hood mirrors are loose as hell but the screw holding it on is as tight as it goes. I’m always afraid my hood is going to open on me while I’m driving on the highway haha

Day Cab:

A tractor which does not have a sleeper berth attached to it. Normally used for local routes where drivers go home every night.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

Sorry, guys! Ya sure it's not a 'condo' and that's why ?!?!? Lol... rofl-3.gif sorry.gif rofl-3.gif

Seriously, haven't noticed ANYTHING similar, in all the Pinnacles that pass thru here. Tom almost always has his 2029, unless someone else needs the twin screw, being heavy.

G'Town . . . you? I often do the pre trips on ours (his) and don't have a problem with the hood latch, at all.

Hmmm... (Things that make you go, Hmpf.)

Love to hear, though!

I’m just so used to the hood rattling I don’t even notice it anymore lol. Apparently it’s common on all my companies trucks that maintenance just laughs when I bring it up lol. Even on the brand new trucks we got last month 🙀. Apart from that I still live the Macks though

No rattling here… except perhaps my loose teeth.

Carry on.

And here I thought it was the other guy who kept hitting them on things 😂 I’m planning on going in maybe next weekend and buffing those wheels and the tanks out so I’ll try and look at it a little closer. I hate driving a dirty truck.

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

We have some 23 Freightliners in now and I love driving them. They ride great are quiet and tbe AC is ice cold. Plus the seat doesn't have 500k miles of butts on it.
