I hate to hear this Dennis but I am sure you will recover and return to trucking. I hope it doesnt crush you financially. Keep us posted and I pray for a quick recovery. Reach out if you need anything!

Thanks George B. This does hurt financially, but not crushed yet.

Just found out that my Prime trainer is off with a long term medical issue. He is trying to keep a driver in his truck to make lease payments, but may have to turn it in for awhile.

The driver that he has lined up is one of his recent students, but he is still out finishing his Training miles to upgrade to a solo driver.

We all have our challenges in life.

About 24 hours since my surgery. Surgeon says it went well. Dealing now with post surgery discomfort and pain.

I see Dr on 15th. Change from splint to a brace.

Sorry your going through all this. Sounds like the surgon was happy with the result.

As said don’t rush the recovery.

We’re all wishing you all the best. Get well!!

Get better soon, man.

My doctor claims that lawyers are easy to operate on because they are spineless, gutless heartless and their heads and butts are interchangeable.

(And my apologies for repeating that because of a certain former lawyer here on TT. lol.) _

Thanks guys. Funny about the attorneys, but I do know a couple decent lawyers personally.

This is the first major surgery that I’ve had, other than the cataracts last August.

This is going to be a slow healing process. The tendons were completely torn and retracted. Surgeon had to make two incisions to reach the tendons and stretch back out to reattach.

He will use the brace to make small incremental adjustments to expand the arm extension.

Hopefully in a few days the initial swelling and pain will subside.

I wish you the best as well, Dennis. I was hoping that traditional P/T and some Athlean X YouTube videos, plus an awesome book I got on Amazon, would have helped you as it has me.

I've got pins and plate(s) well, one left..topside, Rt. radius & ulna. Bottom plate, set screw was loose and moving on its own within, so they removed that one, haha! Scars abide, but .. who cares.. Doesn't define me, makes me look 'tough' anyway, haha!

I can still do push ups full force, swim, row, no limitations. The rotator cuff, being fairly fresh, is giving me a run for my 'money' per se, LoL. I sure hope you find relief after some healing, and follow through with whatever rehabilitative and physical therapy is offered, and/or recommended. It does wonders; and just like some say about 'other' scenarios, to me .. PT 'works if you work it!' I'm blessed with an amazing CNP/PT... PhD. Doc Amy.

If you ever would like info on that amazing book she led me to on Amazon, let me know.

Stay blessed; heal quickly! I'm still hoping somehow, things work w/Prime, with all you've put in. The cards are held well, I think. Prayers!

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

Dennis, what is the book from Amazon? I think you can post the title here as long as you are not profiting from it, and it doesn’t sound like you are.

It would be different if you wrote a book titled “I make $10,000 a week posting things on this website and working from home”. That might get flagged. Lol.

I have nothing to do with a book on Amazon. That was Ms Anne.
