Turtle- Glad you pointed that out for the bad advice.

Stevo- Penalty for manslaughter- A range of four years and six months to 18 years with a median sentence length of 10 years.

Yeah, real smart.

Now THERE is evidence for a simple manslaughter conviction.... Even if the accident wasn't your fault.

Completely irresponsible of you to put out advice like that.

Yes yes I know all those things I was a baddd boy....Wasn't meant as advice, merely a note, that Travis ain't missing out not having side sensor.

And GT, the truck hadn't gotten it's first PM until I turned it in just under 50k, that's their scheduled mileage for em.....

Ok off to the corner, for a time-out lol

Just so we're clear I should have no problem with them telling me to go to Appleton to pick up my newly truck assigned truck and when I get there there is no truck?

Just so we're clear I should have no problem with them telling me, after I've gone to Appleton, to go to Marshfield to pick up my newly truck assigned truck and when I get there there is no truck?

I'm not demanding a brand new truck, I do have an expectation that if information is conveyed to me that it be accurate. Apparently it is no big deal that I have bills to pay and other obligations in life that I have to put on hold. It appears that venting my frustration and looking for answers equates to me being entitled.

Mr. Unc Truckus;

Sometime the help on TT is the truth, well it always is; and sometimes not what some want to hear.

I, personally, hope you DID hang in, and all worked out for you, good sir.

It'd be mighty kind of you, to report back . . . either way it went w/you and your plight.

Wish you well, stay safe ~

ps: Stevo, you're out of "time out~!"

Wish I had time to edit banner, to: Trucking Truth Jail !

You are human. You are jumping into a profession that is totally new to you. You are filled with uncertainty and may have certain expectations about the way things are supposed to work.

No...emphatically no. Being frustrated and annoyed that things aren't going smoothly does not mean you are acting entitled. That word is thrown around too often IMO. You have every right to be frustrated. It's the same reaction anyone would have when plans get messed up. It's human nature.

Your challenge now is to manage the frustration, roll with the punches, and do your best to work through any unforseen setbacks that may occur as you begin your career as a driver.

If/when you're faced with another bad situation or setback, and you're not sure how to handle it, post a question on the forum and ask for advice on the best course of action.

But first try to communicate with your fleet manager to clear things up. Good communication skills are essential to becoming a successful driver.

Wow, one non-toxic, empathetic response not typical of what we commonly see on the worst of social media. I have several people asking me to post an update but why should I want to when I probably have to look forward to people perceiving me in the most negative light possible by default because that's the way they've been conditioned to react to anyone that they disagree with even if inherently they don't have any reason to because as it has been said these are all frustrations that everyone apparently deals with but they are likely unknown to some who simply have not had any such experience. Many say I have a bad attitude and yet present a very negative attitude themselves because apparently I should just accept a big FU buddy from them because they've been through similar circumstances before. They've been treated like crap so why not treat others like crap that don't deserve it?

Well here's an update, I did in fact get a truck that was a recovery out of Dallas, TX. Everything is been going relatively fine, however, I don't see myself working for Roehl long term. I am wanting to do something else in the future, of course because I'm so entitled that I want to explore other opportunities that perhaps might help me earn more money and create a better life for myself that I of course know that I am wrongly entitled to because 99% of TT likely thinks so.

Fleet Manager:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Oh Lord, just what's needed here, another drama queen.

We're so sorry we were mean to you and told you the the truth.

You should follow through with your plans, quit roehl and go make all the big money that's a huge secret in this industry. After all, those companies will be hopping all over each other to get you and your month of experience.

His comment today was so toxic I couldn't even respond. I tried, but kept deleting it.

I can only take so much passive-aggressiveness before I'm no longer passively-aggressive in response. I'm Italian, after all. We have our limits.

Well, I started not to reply but couldn't help myself.

I hate silly, self-created drama just for the sake of creating drama for some unknown reason. Especially when it's someone just starting out with no experience.

Geez… we’re so sorry you feel that way Uncle Trukus. We do however reserve the right to vehemently disagree with your rookie opinions…

At no time did Roehl violate your contract. At no time was there venomous replies from members of Trucking Truth. You do act entitled… it’s not venomous one bit to say that. Calling you an jackass or worse… now that is venomous and although tempting, no one said that about you or called you that.

This site is called Trucking Truth and only comes in one flavor. Again… dreadfully sorry we just couldn’t bring ourselves to telling you what you wanted to hear. If that’s your expectation, then you should definitely bid us farewell.

Good luck…
