I had my truck in the shop last week , because my low coolent level warning came on..since then I still have the same problem. I still have to add coolent on a daily basis, even though the shop cleared me. I don’t see any fluid on the ground when I do a pre/post trip inspection. Where is the coolent going? Any ideas until I get back to the shop?

No idea, but I had the problem in a 2020 Peterbilt I was assigned a few months ago. I had to add coolant daily, no leaks and the shop didn't find anything wrong.

I now have a 2016 KW and the coolant level is at the max line every night.

The world may never know.

Possible head gasket leak. Coolant is likely burning off with the combustion gasses. Just a guess.

Could be the above responses and ideas, but I will bet it is going to be a high pressure leak. This won't show any puddles after parking. Ask the shop to do a pressure test on the coolant system and that leak will reveal itself.

Good suggestion, Klutch. I will keep an eye out for that because I haven’t thought of that. Thanks.

Happened to me with my last truck, felt like an idiot. I couldn’t see any leaks anywhere but the inside of my hood was covered… which the mechanic was quick to point out.

I was going to say head gasket issue also. Happened in my 2015 cascadia. Mechanics didn't know until it finally blew. Then they were like "how did u even drive this in?" 😂

Little did they know the truck was afraid of me.

Now THAT’S the humor that’s been missing. 🤣
