A little twist on the Veteran’s Day observance. It would be interesting if the veterans would post their branch of service and date of their DD-214.
I’m a little unusual, because I have three. USMC (1985), Army (1990), and Army (1991). I’m sure Packrat has me beat though.
Chief that isn’t strange at all. I know Senior Chief has you beat, lol.
US Navy (1977-1983)

Happy Veterans Day!
USMC (1999) and only 2 years, 2 months with a medical discharge, so nothing to compare with you career vets. Nothing but respect for the sacrifice and service.

I wish to thank all of our fellow Veterans here on TT for their service to our great nation. It does nor matter if you are male or female, white or black, Democrat or Republican, we as veterans all stood up for the greatest nation on Earth. Because of our dedication to duty everyone in the USA has the right to live here free even if they are different from what we believe in to be right. We as veterans have shown our loyalty to our great nation and I for one am proud to have had the chance to be a veteran of the U.S.Navy and proud to be an American. God bless the USA and to all veterans I too owe you my thanks.
EPU:
Electric Auxiliary Power Units
Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices
