Lol funny topic.....My old handle back as teen, being "tall" and NOT from Texas, I was known as "Long Tall Texan" Dad was big into the CB's back in the '70's He was called "Blue Goose" and mom was known as "Packrat" (a VERY organized collector lol) We belonged to a radio club "Skiplanders" Provided security in the parking lots at CB Breaks (get togethers) parents did win a few radio door prizes here n there. Was kinda actually fun times.

Dad loved "Shootin' Skip" talkin to Aussies etc. By the end of that time, pop's had an "illegal military type" Galaxy base station, that could use a slider and go thru FM channels, upper/lower sideband etc, with a 1000 watt kicker amp. Talking around $1,800+ back then that was a good chunk of change to put out.....

Fm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

I’ve got my CB but haven’t been able to schedule time to get it installed yet. Hopefully soon.

So, what handle should I go by? (This might be interesting).

Old Yeller

You aren't a spring chicken, your dog has an Old Yeller look, and it's a really good book.

Mine is "Teddy" and sometimes "Teddy R. Junior."

If the light is just right and my mustache sags I look a lot like Teddy Roosevelt because of my circular wire rimmed glasses and the mustache.

I was walking thru a Pilot one day and someone called out "Hey! It's Teddy Roosevelt!"

I kind of like Old Yeller as I was thinking of something related to the late, great Moocho Poocho. Good suggestion, Ryan.

I started driving with the handle Range Rider, after the Jock Mahoney character. Then Piney, because I was from the NJ Pineland area. I became NJ Runaway when I moved out of NJ to Florida. And finally, Navypoppop after I became a grandfather and having served in USN.

mine is boxy sounds like a girl one tho but I am with UPS

Anyone on here still use a CB handle? Of course you're going to need a CB first, then someone else needs to pick out your handle. You cannot pick your first moniker on your own.

Obviously, mine is "PackRat", but I've been thinking of changing it to "Hugh Jass".

CB Handle:

This is the nickname people use on the CB

Mine is "Old School."

Yes, the same one you are familiar with. Also, it was given to me years ago by a small group of "high risk" prisoners that I volunteered to teach reading and writing to.
