It's right. Legally, you cannot work more than 70 hours in 8 days. It doesn't matter who the work is for or what kind of work it is. If you're getting paid, you're legally required to log it.
They don't have to mention it during enrollment, it's not a school role or a company rule. It's the law, federal law.
If you're out there and you get into an accident and somebody dies or gets hurt, that's prison time because you falsified your logs and endangered the public.

I been searching online for the answer and don't seem to have one. I was attending trucking school that was paid for by my employer. I finish the classes and get to the yard time. I work for amazon I work second shift. They just told me at that time I had to follow hours of service which did not sound right. There was no mention of this in my enrollment contract. I looked under title 49 and could not find a rule. Can anyone help me with this? thank you for your time Jon
