Drivers are often paid by the mile and it's given in cents per mile, or cpm.
Just looking at the tender rejection rate percentage has me concerned. From 20% down to 3% means the market is really getting tight. Already freight at my job is tight and last week the upper management had to have discussions with fleet leaders taking each others loads for their driver boards, its getting cut throat. Too many drivers for not enough freight. I am a shift driver and we are having road drivers taking our local hauls away from us. I have not had a backhaul from Atlanta in weeks, Its been one load down and empty back. Normally on 3 loads a day to sometimes just 1.
