So, I am parked in Grand Island, NE until Friday evening. Any suggestions on something that I should see or do? I am open-minded about activities, so any reasonable suggestions are appreciated. I have only driven through NE before, so I really have no idea what's around, and I think it will be good for me to get out of the truck.

The Platte river is right there, if you can find a local outfitter for canoe/kayak rental, that shuttles you out and back, that would be fun.

I would really enjoy that. I looked up outfitters in the area, and nothing close by.

I looked at taking a Lyft ride to the Stuhr Museum in town, but there are no drivers in the area. I don't use Uber, so limited there. I have decided to take a walk to the Mormon Island State Recreation Area, a 20-minute walk from where I am parked.

A severe thunderstorm just put a damper on that plan. Catch up on sleep, it is.
