Happy New Year

Good morning everyone. I wanted to take the time to wish everyone here on TT a very Happy New Year. I hope that everyone stays safe, healthy and prosperous. I will be staying home this year so I will not have to deal with the weather, the crazies on the highway and too much partying. Last night I took the wife out for dinner to celebrate our 44th anniversary and there were already enough "nuts" out there celebrating early it seems. So enjoy it people and we'll see you all in 2024.

I don't know about you guys, but I intend to make 2024 a whole lot better than 2023!

Here's a hint of what's coming: I'm currently building an AI chatbot for Trucking Truth, which will use only the materials from Trucking Truth to answer questions. So far, I've included about 200 articles from our blog and about 5,000 comments from the forum. In testing, it's working really well.

I may use it to answer some questions here in the forum, and I'll certainly be developing it to help guide people along their career path.

I may also eventually build an app that uses AI to help drivers out on the road. It could give various types of information like places along your route (truck stops, rest areas, weigh stations, etc), give weather reports, give traffic reports, and all sorts of things.

So we're officially entering the era of AI and I intend to put it to use in a big way.

The reason our forum has slowed down so much now is that people are asking AI questions instead of asking us. I'm hoping to use AI to actually increase engagement in the forum, because sometimes talking to people is just the preferred way to go.

Navypoppop a big congrats on 44 years Sir!!! That is amazing. I came back to Ga from Nc yesterday early afternoon and yup the nuts were already out and about.

Brett that doesn’t suprise me at all from you. In the past 10 years I have come to realize you are both very tech and business savvy!!! Congrats to you on that. I look forward to seeing how it all works.

Not much happenin' here tonight on the mountain "compound" lol My GF's mon & dad, a brother or 2 and whoever probably will show up, to spend the night. Might be a little liquor involved, I'm not buying it this time! And probably some "karaoke" singin happenin'.........

Bought some native "traditional" foods for them to be well fed. December turned into 1 of the most expensive months this year hahaha. Still a LOT cheaper than back home in Cali !! Just enjoying my new retired life here in the far, from the city, province life. Have gotten quite used to the cold water Tabo Tabo baths (sunny days, the river water, we pipe to our house, is warmer maybe 70*)

(woops hear some local guys, already drinkin' the china wine, alc 25% STRONG stuff!) maybe by 12 am they'll be passed out cold (1:30pm now) hahaha
