What are the rules about guns in the Cabin.

I would feel very uneasy traveling around the country without a sidearm. At least.

Almost all companies forbid firearms of any kind in the trucks. I have been out here 15 years and never felt a need to carry a firearm. Besides by the time you knew you needed one it would be to late and someone else would have the drop on your first then you would have to run to the truck to get said gun. So why carry it if it would do you no good when ya needed it?

Besides almost all customers have signs saying no weapons of any kind on their property so you would not be able to have one in the truck for that reason alone not to mention all the trucking companies policies against it.

Well, that certainly settles that one... :)

What about a machete? I bought one for less than $10 at wal mart because I can't afford a gun. Now I've grown to like it. Makws me feel like a bad***.

So it is agreed. As long as the employer or customer does NOT know you have a firearm, then it's alright.

Seriously, there is NO federal laws against it. There may be some state laws against carrying a firearm, and it's just a pain in the butt if you do carry a firearm.

No, that statement is certainly not agreed upon whatsoever.

The bottom line is you do not carry a firearm in a truck - period. Almost every company in America has company policies that forbid it, a ton of customers have policies forbidding firearms on their property, and numerous state laws will prevent you from carrying it legally because you will not be licensed properly in every state.

If you carry a gun in the truck you're taking a huge risk. We strongly recommend you do not even consider. That being said I know there are diehards that will do so anyway, and that's on them. But for those who are wondering about the legality and prudence of it, do not carry a gun in your truck under any circumstances.
