What are your thoughts on starting a trucking career at 62. I am fit, in great health and am thinking seriously about this. Any thoughts on how trucking companies feel about this?
Nope. That is not to old. If you can do the job then you can drive a truck. Honest companies like older drivers as they are calmer and don't get nearly as much road rage. They are more mature in behavior and attitude and often make pretty good drivers if trucking is a good fit for them.
Yap, Guyjax is right - your age is no concern. There are people in their 60's in trucking schools across the country all the time. It's not uncommon at all.
