What semitruck brand is known as the cadillac of semis? Also which brand is the most reliable? I searched the web & had no luck. I did find that freightliner, kenworth, mack, etc. All have there base model & models with all the bells & whistles. Also is cab over engine better than having to look around a hood?

i think with brand its the same argument as ford vs chevy because everyone has their likes and dislikes. and cab over is deff not better than standard. the only reason most other countrys have cab over is because of strict vehicle length laws.

What's your car make and model preferences? Whatever it is why? Same goes for big truck......it's a matter of personal preference.

For me the absolute best truck is one that somebody else is paying the notes, insurance, and maintenance on while letting me drive it like I own it, and then paying me all kinds of money for that pleasure. Right now that truck is a Freightliner Cascadia. I don't know what it will be next year, but as long as it meets that criteria above I'm gonna drive that truck with pleasure.

You don't even HAVE most of the top brands worldwide available in your marketplace...

Scania, Isuzu Giga, Mercades-Benz. Even Tatra can be the best for some environments, Some russian trucking companies regularly do runs through rutted siberian routes that would give an US Army HEMITT nightmares.

It's horses for courses...
