Yeah... I wouldn't recommend WoW on the road. You'll never be a productive driver with that drug in your system.

"Hi, My name is Guy and I am a 8 year recovering addict of WOW."

Im on about 8-9yrs of recovering....... Fun times...

I did alot of casual gaming in the truck.. I had my laptop and xbox set up.. I mostly used the xbox to watch movies while I played on laptop.. did starcraft, skyrim, civilian 5... Played when I was stuck at shippers/recievers, terminals, any downtime I had I played.. except when I needed to get cleaned up. eat, or clean truck... otherwise thats how my time was wasted....

Shipper:

The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

I play dota and starcraft right now (not on the truck yet). I want to play elite dangerous and star citizen, and really want the oculus rift when it comes out. My truck doesn't have an app, so I'm thinking a 880m sli laptop would be better than a desktop for now.

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

I got a 680m 4GB dedicated, I7-3.4ghz with 24gb of ram. It worked great for the above list of games i said...

Want a gaming laptop that is basically a desktop replacement? Try Is One

I currently have the G73 which is 5 years old and it still screams through games. As you will see its customizable with alot of options depending on the money you want to spend.

Matter of fact that computer might refuse to run Dota or Starcraft just because it will think it's better than them due to there last generation graphic engines they were designed with. Lol. But seriously check out that link and see what you think. It will hand any game out on the market currently and into the future for a few years and should not break the bank.

You'd be surprised. Truckers talk about anything! And we always have something to say about every topic.

But, I too am a recovering addict for 3.5 years now. Quit right before Cata, just as the entire game was switching over to catering to children.

I first got into WoW just before Cataclysm. I chose Horde because I preferred their philosophy -- and quickly learned to hate going into Oggrimar because the sheer number of mammoths wandering around brought my ancient video card to its knees whimpering. Cataclysm being released cleared that up right away, but holy crap.

I had all kinds of fun playing it. Too much fun. Anyone here remember Evercrack? Yeah, it almost got that bad for me. So I deliberately pulled out, and am staying away from it.

That said, if anyone's still running a MajorMUD board, I might deal myself in, just to sate the addiction a little...

I played through tell just after Burning Crusade... After that, I felt the I wasted enough money.... 15/month for 3 yrs already was enough......

I've been tempted to break down and start up again, but none of my friends play anymore and its just boring without them.... Diablo 3 was another decent one, Still prefer #2.. Start Craft Broad War is still my #1 fave game, along with Command & Conqure: Red Alert. (Ive got the entire collection...)

Few other good single player games,

Farcry (1. 2 and 3 ) Warcraft 3 Halo (Original) Bioshock Borderlands (1 and 2) Oblivion (Elder Scrolls) Skyrim Dragon Age 2 Portal 2 MineCraft (if your into building stuff. )
