I haven't heard of any...but most cdl schools are as good as the next...just make sure they are certified, and they will help line you up with companies that may hire you ( unless theres a company you already want to drive for).... Get into the High Road training on this site...its free...and will get you far ahead of anyone else in your class. !!!! And let us know whats goin' on and if we can help in any way....thats what we do here !!
CDL:
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
- Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
- Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
- Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
- Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
Currently attending the Quality Drivers School. The instructors are great but there are way too many students and not enough instructors to meet demand.
Well THAT is certain'y good to know !!! Its common knowledge that the smaller the class, the better the training.....we'll keep that in mind...
I'm in my 4th week of school. There are days when I'm not doing any driving or backing. On those days I'm out on the backing ranges hoping to get in the truck. I also spend a lot of time asking the scheduler to be placed on the list to drive or be on the range. The contract says 3 weeks but unless you've had previous driving experience it's not possible. There are people who've been here for 13 weeks or more just getting their CDL.

Wow!!! A person could go to a community college on a Pell grant in that amount of time!

Finally got my CDL in my 7th week. You are not guaranteed a job after school. You will need to pass another backing and driving test. After orientation the trainer wait for females is at least a month, with refreshers and lease purchase people going first.
