Hello everyone, I've been reading and gathering a lot of info from everyone. A lot of great advice and I appreciate everyone here who helps out.

But anyways, I have been looking into getting my cdl license. But first things first I'm focused on getting my GED. I called Knight transportation, they did tell me I didn't need my ged but this is something I want first before I take the next step to better myself.

Knight seems like a very good company to start with they even help get you your cdl and pay you and that's what draws me in the most. I'm 26 years old, and I'm excited to say the least. Watching youtube videos to reading here. Just trying to take on as much info as I can. But yeah I just wanted to say hello and again thanks for this forum.

  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.

Welcome Aaron! You will get a lot of great information here as you prepare for school. I have been working through the High Road training program Brett has here so if you haven't started it I would suggest you do. It is lengthy but very thorough! Good for you wanting to finish your GED before you start school for your CDL....that is something that will help you no matter what you do in life. Good luck and again, welcome aboard!

Welcome to Trucking Truth, Aaron! Nice work, finishing up your GED first. You'll never regret the time you put in to it now. Definitely start working on the High Road training program as soon as you have the chance. You came to the right place. Besides, it's fun. Sounds like you have your priorities straight too. Learning is lifelong, anyway.

Again, Welcome!
