Really great to hear from you again. So glad to see things are working out. I know there was a really rough period in there, so congrats on transitioning to success!
Ahmalia, it's great to hear from you! You're a great example of how things can start out a little on the difficult side in this business and then it gradually begins to smooth out while you're getting your bearings and experience established in this crazy business. Some of us here have followed you from the beginning in the old forum and are well aware of many of your struggles and difficulties, and we really only know of the things that you shared with us. There may have been plenty of mental anguish, and or worse financial difficulties, and personal fears than you cared to share with us. But here you are, doing your thing, out there driving that truck with the best of em! Our hats are off to you, and we are so glad to hear a good report from you.
Keep up the great job, and please, by all means don't forget to drop by every now and then.
Amalia !!!!! You are my STAR !!!! A dedicated route...BEFORE you get your year in !!! WTG WONDER WOMAN !!!! You are truly a great come back kid story...You were soooo down on the whole deal...so ya came here, and we loved on ya, and hollared at ya, and you went back out and proved us right !!!
Girlfriend....I am so damned proud of you !!!!! LADY TRUCKER FOR SURE !!!!
A driver or carrier who transports cargo between regular, prescribed routes. Normally it means a driver will be dedicated to working for one particular customer like Walmart or Home Depot and they will only haul freight for that customer. You'll often hear drivers say something like, "I'm on the Walmart dedicated account."
That is indeed fantastic news! You are definitely a case study in perseverance and we all respect that tremendously. Getting through that first year is all about hanging in there and facing the challenges head on. You have to see it through, and you did exactly that.
Very happy for ya!!!

Hey, ya'll, just dropping by to give a quick update. Things are going so much better for me now!! I'm on a dedicated fleet for the Great Lakes region (Hi to Trucker Mike, bet I drive by you a lot!!) I'm averaging about 2500 miles per week, sometimes more, and my weekly take home even after they take out the school costs is still between $600-900 per week. Of course being in the Great Lakes region means I got tons of practice driving in snow and ice!!
Anyway, life is really good, I'm just rolling right along and loving every minute of it!! Take care, ya'll, be safe out there!!
