I recently (Wednesday 9-3) applied for my HazMat endorsement. Went to the collection center and they took my fingerprints. Friday (9-5), I got on TSA's website to check the status of my application and it said a letter was mailed to me regarding my application. Do I need to be concerned? Do they always act so quickly?

HAZMAT:

Explosive, flammable, poisonous or otherwise potentially dangerous cargo. Large amounts of especially hazardous cargo are required to be placarded under HAZMAT regulations

Was probably just a status letter - regarding receipt of your application for the endorsement.

No need to worry, I did the same thing with the same result. It is standard operating procedure. Going to take my hazmat test right now! Wish me luck!
