Thanks Heavy C.

I have been flipped off and honked at more times these last couple days than since I began driving. Probably because I was in a convoy of 7 trucks driving through downtown Atlanta... Might have something to do with it. They won`t be complaining at the music fest this weekend...Which would not be happening without the very truckers they despise.

Happy Trucker Appreciation week to all of you as well. Its a shame we are the only ones who actually celebrate it though.

Hey, we had a free breakfast (which I missed) and a free pizza dinner (which I also missed) here at our Fulton GA yard for driver appreciation, so, the powers that be within the company care... ahum. (light sarcasm)

I also had a post from my cousin (a former trucker) saying thanks to all the drivers. That counts...right?

AH, forget it. You are right Daniel B. wtf-2.gif

Wyoming DOT at the I-80 west bound port outside Cheyenne has been doing things all week. Monday the local Freight liner dealer and the officers were grilling hamburgers and free soda or coffee. Yesterday they had grab bag stuff (coozies, key chains, etc.). This morning at oh ' dark thirty they had coffee and donuts.

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

Now that is cool.
