The CDL school teaches you just enough to get you your CDL and a basic pre-trip, even if they're not 100% accurate. Just go with it. Learn as much as you possibly can now and apply everything you've learned so far to the new philosophies you're learning at Schneider. It's in their best interest to teach you well so that you drive well for them, so don't sweat the small stuff. Have fun with this. Ask questions. Let them teach you what they know. Do it how they want you to so you don't go against their grain, so-to-speak. Take a little bit of what you've learned from every instructor and apply it to your own, safe style of doing things because there's no one, single way of doing all this, anyway. The bottom line is to be safe and don't hit anything. You're not experienced enough to buck the system yet, so roll with all of it, be flexible, willing to learn, don't complain about what your CDL school didn't teach you, just go-go-go, for now. You'll be fine.
They're watching your attitude like hawks right now, so stay positive, willing, open-minded, hard-working.
