Thanks Mountain Girl... Now If I can just get accepted into a school. I can't see why I wouldn't. I have a clean criminal history. No driving accidents and maybe 2 non moving violations in the last 15 years. So far I've Applied at Prime, Knight, CRST, FFE, and Swift.
When are you thinking of attending school? If you choose Swift and live close to Richmond, VA I'll be there starting Nov. 24th.
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

I too, am from PA but wasn't planning on leaving until March so my wife can manage the bills with the income tax return. But who knows. I may not even get accepted. Not sure How its going to work out.

Greg, don't wait around for them to call you. A couple of days after you apply give them a call and ask for the status of your application. You'll be doing yourself a favor, and they will not consider you a pest. They handle an over abundance of applications, and that's how you get yours from being lost in the shuffle.

At the last company I worked for, there was a female driver there who'd been with the company for 17 years. She was about your height and she had a huge banner hanging from the ceiling in the terminal that had her name and year on it, as she had been a national champion driver at least once. I'm 5'6" and she was way shorter than I, so there shouldn't be a problem. Of course, at my school most of the trucks had seats that didn't adjust all the way forward for my comfort but those were old, beat-up trucks used only for training, with literally, a million miles on them. The tractors you'll be driving will be much newer, modern, and you'll be fine.
