Welcome to Trucking Truth, Jaime!

I don't have a lot of first-hand experience, at all, yet but yeah, this website's tremendous. Check out How To Choose A Company and see if you can't find some really useful information on both those companies. I've heard good stuff about them and I know there are a couple of guys on here who've been with Averitt and Schneider who will probably respond to your questions soon.
Good Luck!

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
I decided to go online and view ripoff.com. on trucking companies, I was amazed to find so many negative comments on the various trucking companies.
Jamie, that was your first mistake in trying to get back into trucking. But, you know what? We'll forgive you! Because everyone of us has made the same mistake!
You've hopefully realized by now that those sites are completely unreliable. Any disgruntled idiot can get on there and say what ever they want to and there is no way you can verify it or even know if it's anything close to the truth. There are a lot of knuckleheads in recent years that have tried trucking simply because of our poor economy. Most of them were not anywhere close to being cut out for the job, and then they have the gall to try and blame their failure on the company when what they needed to do was take a good long look in the mirror and figure out what went wrong.
I'm gonna bite my tongue here so I don't just start going off, but trust me the two companies you mentioned are well run companies with many pictures of million mile drivers decorating the hallways of their offices. You don't do that without treating your drivers right. You can do well at either one of them, just do yourself a big favor and stay away from those stupid websites that are completely inundated with morons who need to be doing anything but driving trucks.
Thank you Mountain Girl and Old-school for your responses!

Hello experienced truckers; I will be returning to trucking (I drove over 20-years ago, then went into sales) I will pay out of pocket for my CDL , this way I will not be obligated to any company. I decided to go online and view ripoff.com. on trucking companies, I was amazed to find so many negative comments on the various trucking companies. I know there is always to sides to every story/complaint. I am considering driving for either Schneider or Everitt. Can any of you give me first-hand insight on these two companies, I highly appreciated. Jim
