So last night I'm sitting in the restaurant at the TA in Aurora, OR finishing my dinner. All of a sudden out of nowhere this old man walks up to me and asks me if I'm a truck driver, then says "thank you for what you do."
Of course I thanked him in return. That was really just mind-blowingly awesome. We're all too familiar with the usual brand of thanks we usually get: horn and finger. It was so nice to hear an average person say they appreciate the sacrifice and struggle we all put up with. Surprising as hell, but nice.
I can't think of a better way to end a day, can you? Well, except maybe winning the Powerball jackpot.
