WeatherTap.zoom, Storm Prediction Center (website), National Weather Service (website), Weather & Clock Widget, RadarNow, WeatherBug, AccuWeather.

I found NOAA Weather. (That's the name of the app. NOAA itself has nothing to do with it.)

It's a bit geeky but it does have various weather maps, and it's easy to find localized weather and forecasts.

That's what I use for my weather go to.

It's accurate to within x amount of miles of your location (a setting you can adjust... in the big cities it can easily be a 10º difference in the downtown area vs the outskirts or where airport is, etc)

NOAA actually has a webpage you can bookmark now that when opened it's already mobile friendly and you can use current location or enter location and it'll give you all the nerdy NOAA weather info... the app previously mentioned though is a bit easier to work with and pulls it's data from NOAA's servers so it's the same info.

I've been using the AccuWeather app for a while now and I like it pretty well. I like that it has detailed current conditions right now, as well as a "minutecast" forecast of the next 120 mins, hourly forecast for the next 24 hours, as well as daily forecast for the next two weeks, and maps, video forecasts, weather news and severe weather alerts. It can be set to always follow your GPS location and display weather for wherever you are or wherever you're going. Its a pretty full featured weather app.

The urban heat island is an established fact.
