Hi is that the largest inverter that you can use at swift?what can you run off it? TV? no laptop?

You would want to shoot for appliances that are 200w or less. Most small flat screens, laptops and some game systems are low wattage. Fans, 12v coolers/fridges, tablets and phones are all good.

Most heat producing appliances will be over 500w AC, so those are out. Small Slow Cookers can be around 150 watts, but that's about it for heat producing appliances.

You can find Immersion Blenders under 200 watts to make smoothies, hummus, etc.

I would avoid a modified sine wave inverter and shoot for a pure sine wave inverter. You are less likely to run into compatibility issues with your electronics.

Hope that helps.

I work for swift. My truck has a pre cut hole directly behind my driver seat and hole leading into the battery compartment. It took me one minute to hook some gauge wires to the battery and run them into the cab to feed a 1500 watt inverter. Ive had zero issues. Do not run any more than 150 watts through a cig lighter adapter.

Could you check out this inverter on Ebay and tell us what you think? 1500W 12v DC TO 110v AC car truck automotive POWER INVERTER Converter 1500 WATT

Swift does not allow inverters that require wiring to the battery. You can get a 300watt one that fits to a cig outlet. Everything will need to be 12v plugs ( cig plugs). You can get coffee pots, skillet and cooler that will fit And work. I had my TV and Xbox /laptop plugged in to my 300watt inverter with no issues. 32" led flat screen to no juice same with laptop. Always check the voltage on the products you buy. They have them stamped with input and output specs. Make sure the are under the power of inverter.

That scares me. If you are going to go outside the limits of your companies restrictions, you better get a high quality inverter. I wouldn't get anything less than a pure sine wave one. This is one area that is not worth going cheap on. You could seriously damage the truck, and that would look pretty bad.

Modified sine wave vs pure has nothing to do with damaging the truck.

True, I wasn't very succinct in my comment. The 1500watt with the bizarre plug at under $40 scares me. Plugging that into a cigarette lighter with expected positive results could end poorly. Wanting to use a refrigerator warrants a pure sine wave inverter. Any other motor driven device warrants it as well, along with CPAP machines.

CPAP is a breathing assist device which is worn over the mouth or nose. It provides nighttime relief for individuals who suffer from Sleep Apnea.

Also whoever made the rule stating no inverters in the truck has never lived in one. Im sure they go home every night to a house with everything they need. This is my home.
