Haha reminds me, took mechanic job for a haz-mat tanker outfit in downtown L.A. up the road from Farmer Johns plant. Place next door was a process plant, dealt with road kill, and animal carcasses. Stakebeds would pull up along the block wall, unload their 55 gal. drums of animals onto the conveyor belt, to be ground up.
You wanna talk about a extra bad stink! It made the dairy 'n pig farms smell good in Chino Cal. Talking to the boss, about the job, he and the other guy, are eating lunch in the shop(next to the same wall) like nothing! I asked man, how the heck can you eat, smelling that awful funk? He said "oh you'll get used to it, no problem" Week after I worked there, he was right, I ate lunch right there with em at our picnic bench hahahaha.
Talk about big horse flies everywhere! I did a yard check @ 4 a.m. every morning, tons of spider webs between trucks n tankers, with huge black widows!
