Wow, what a great first week this has been, just thought I'd share I with you guys n gals

I've had 4 trips this week totaling 2518 miles. Made it on time for all 4.

Been running an ave of 8.7 mpg for the week, but I think I can get 9, just have to work at it.

Been running mostly in the Midwest due to some hometime coming up next week, otherwise it'll be cont US and Canada.

This has just been a fantastic start for me, can't wait to start logging some serious miles !

Great start, MrHetzel! Wish I coulda been so lucky. My first week solo totaled 176 miles all together. (I think in my third week it's getting better.)

Good luck on your new career.

This should considered to be my third week. First week I made 457 miles, second one 1988 miles, thanks to DM T-CALLed my load(still under me and I delivered Friday). This week going home with 1900ish miles to AZ, let alone the mileage left on previous T-CALL(from TC location to receiver).

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Congrats to you. Your mpg will get better as you figure out your truck more. i.e. it's shift points and where it wants to be run at.

Javad, I always try to keep a positive attitude, but don't misunderstand. It was a long road for me to get here as I started this in sept of last year.

I guess what I'm saying is don't make this a " grass is greener " situation. Yes, I've had a very successful first week, but it took a lot of hard work to get here, and will take a lot of hard work to keep it.

I just don't want you thinking that any of this is easy.

Thanks Mongo. Yea I kinda figured that was the case, just have to play around and see what she likes. Also, being new there will be a break in period
