This was for my trainer who did not have his endorsement yet
Hello there! If you're getting this message that means that according to Prime's records you do not have your tanker endorsement on your CDL. If you are not aware the laws have changed and you will need your tanker endorsement to haul liquid materials even if you are doing so in a reefer trailer. Please be clear that this is a DOT law not a Prime policy however in order to successfully run freight in Prime's network this will need to be done. The law is already in effect however the DOT will begin writing tickets in June. Plan not to prevent a panic later. If you already have your endorsement and just need to update that in Prime's system please let me know. Thank you all jw
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.
State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.
A refrigerated trailer.
Not just reefers. I just did the supplemental training at Swift. I have tanker but this addresses the federal change if language - cargo containers in a van/reefer/flatbed are now treated as tankers.

I got a message the other day that I need to go ahead and get the tanker endorsement too. We do not do reefers or tankers. Weird.

When I was at school they required that we test for General Knowledge, Combination, Air Brake, Doubles- Triples, and Tanker, and they knew that the Tanker was going to be require no matter what we were driving, if your hauling drums, or bottled soda, got to have that endorsement. so be sure to add it to your studies if your in school
Refers to pulling two trailers at the same time, otherwise known as "pups" or "pup trailers" because they're only about 28 feet long. However there are some states that allow doubles that are each 48 feet in length.

Dm:
Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager
The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.DMV:
Department of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Motor Vehicles
