My DM figured out I need a 34 hour reset. (I know, that's half what you're doing so far.) So, here I sit for 34 hours before I leave on my preplan.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Be very careful on how you talk to him. Yes, you're doing a lot of waiting, but getting on his bad side won't help your cause. It's okay to joke, but make sure that he takes it the right way.

Yeah I know... He knows we are joking he's trying everything to get us out of here but Washington freight is slow right now and we are the 11th in line for freight...

Oh. Usually, at least with Melton, your pay as a trainee is set. The trainer would get the layover pay at Melton, as would I if I couldn't get a pre-plan the same day as a delivery. Of course, there will be exceptions. But for the most part, we will get layover pay having to wait that long.
