I've been offered a position with Werner. This position is what they are calling a regional dedicated run. Its Louisiana Arkansas Texas Oklahoma Kansas Colorado New Mexico and I think Arizona. It has a guaranteed minimum pay of its per week. 2 weeks out 2 days home. This accounts runs dollar tree dollar General and family dollar. Is this a decent gig as this will be my first company is this worth it or is there something better out there that I haven't found yet.

Dedicated Run:

A driver or carrier who transports cargo between regular, prescribed routes. Normally it means a driver will be dedicated to working for one particular customer like Walmart or Home Depot and they will only haul freight for that customer. You'll often hear drivers say something like, "I'm on the Walmart dedicated account."

Regional:

Regional Route

Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.

I've heard lots of positive things about Werner. Hopefully someone who drives for them will swing by and can give you some more specific insights about the account. Congrats on the offer, too! :)

I believe I have read something about it here in the past. Try doing a search for dollar tree Schneider (or swift). From what I remember reading, it is labor intensive, and backing into some of the locations can be challenging
