Birth Certificate

I cant seem to find my birth certificate. I was wanting to know if I would be able use my passport instead with my ss card and dl. Thanks

I have actually seen some folks get away with that, but it will depend on the company you are trying to get on with. Usually they are going to want to see the original birth certificate, or what is called a certified birth certificate - it will have a seal with raised letters on it. You can usually obtain one from the county you were born in. You can make a call to the county registrars office, and sometimes they can do it over the phone I think. There will be a small fee usually under twenty five bucks.

I've also seen a good many folks get sent home from orientations over this very issue - don't waste your time and run the likely risk involved. It really isn't that hard to get a copy for your records. You'll be saving yourself some big time problems if you go ahead and deal with it now. If you are already set up for an orientation, don't sweat it they will reschedule you after you've gotten all your documents in order. It is important to them that you are a likely candidate who will make it through the orientation, they don't want to rush you knowing that you don't have everything you need.

While I was really looking forward to driving a truck for a living if I can rely on your vote maybe I'll change my focus to the presidency.
