anyone hear about how far back schnieder goes on the hair test

Geo, I don't know where you got the five year info from but to the best of my knowledge, a hair test can only be traced back 1 year... You hear rumors about companies saying they can go back 2 years and such, this is a scare tactic they use to see who is gonna look guilty. Most companies only look back 90 days... My cousin had to get one done for a security job, not like a mall security or anything but a legit security detail. I myself have a person who is close to me who also said the same thing. I have done research on my own and the most common answer I see is 1 year.

I could be wrong (according to my g.f. its all the time) but I think I am pretty solid on this. I will research again to be doubly sure....

From what I was able to find on the web, an average of 1/2" of hair covers 30 days, so if they cut 1 1/2" that would be 90 days. That is for head hair. From what I understand body hair can grow a bit slower so it may show a slightly longer period. The problem though is that if you used say 75 or 80 days ago and never touched it again, all they know is that you used. It doesn't show an actual time frame. So if you think you might pop hot it would best to just wait a good 100 days or so just to be safe.

Here's one of the sites I checked out. https://www.drugtestingnetwork.com/hair-testing.htm

Ok let me ask this, he hasn't touched any since before he started cdl class. His urine was clean then. It's a few days shy of his 90 days. Should he call his recruiter and explain all of this to him, try to be honest with him. Or how far would honesty get him

  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.

No, you don't want to bring anything up like that. If you really wanted to be sure you could have a private drug test done but just make sure the results aren't being reported to anyone.

they collect enough hair to go back 6 months. A half inch is roughly 30 days, but they collect a volume of hair to go back that far.

Hair tests can go back many years, but it gets very expensive. Most trucking carriers stick to 3 -6 months.

My question is why is everyone so concerned.? B it shocking how there are so many questions regarding this. As long as you haven't done drugs in the past year, and commit to a life of not doing drugs you should be fine. If it has been recent, I honestly suggest you move on, not you in particular but anyone. I have four kids that my wife drives around, to say I would be mad if a truck driver killed them because he drove high is an understatement. I believe there was an accident just a few days ago with a driver who was high on synthetic weed and killed four people. 4 college girls with families. The least of that drivers concern is jail time!!!!!

My heart goes out to those families.

Sorry to be clear Schneider goes back 6 months -- they are no joke. When they say safety first and always, they are committed to living that out.
