After giving my 2 week notice we are finally home and completely done with Werner. I enjoyed my time there and was a perfect fit for a team operation. I can't speak to the solo side of the company but i do know that there are many million mile drivers there that are solo drivers. For those that do not know 1 million miles takes between 9 and 10 years to accomplish.

I talked to my recruiter (Steven) at Tyson a few minutes ago and everything is still a GO. From what he says ,unlike most companies that only do a preliminary check before orientation on the drivers application, Tyson does a full check(background, employment and driving record) before they ever invite someone to come up to orientation. So that is good news. Very small chance that I won't get the job.

Starting major remodeling (tearing rooms down to the 2x4"s and doing all the rewiring on 2 rooms of my house right now and should be done with that before I leave. Replacing all kitchen appliances with new stuff and replacing most of furniture in the rooms with new stuff. Not going to say how much was spent on all that plus tools and building supplies but I will say that Lowes and a local furniture store really ought to throw me a party as a valued customer. lol

Anyway guess I need to get back to working on the house.

Well, look at you taking care of business. You have definitely had me looking inside Werner trucks over the last couple years wanting to see the "Guy" who challenged, argued with and helped me do this trucking thing.

I know you would not make these decisions lightly, so, instead of saying good luck; I will say, hell yeah.

Lol Yeah I am hoping this will be a "Hell Yeah" move. As we know if it can go wrong in trucking it will. So I am praying everything goes smoothly.
