Hirschbach is a refrigerated carrier established by Ray Hirschbach in 1935 with a single truck. Owned by the Grojean family, Hirschbach's fleet of over 700 tractors and 1200 refrigerated trailers is among the newest, most fuel efficient, and environmentally friendly in the trucking industry.

Hirschbach specializes in delivering fresh and frozen products across the United States along with offering experience in handling dry goods.

Hirschbach Driver Pay

  • Solo pay: $.32/$20 min - $1.02/$100 min depending on length of haul.
  • Team pay: $.41/$30 min - $1.34/$135 min depending on length of haul.
  • $1,000 sign-on bonus for new company hires
  • Higher pay per mile on shorter loads
  • Practical mile pay
  • Guaranteed pay per dispatch
  • Paid weekly
  • Breakdown pay calculated after 24 hrs. at $15/hr. to maximum of $90 per day
  • Quarterly bonus up to $1000 for safe, on-time deliveries
  • 99% no touch freight on some dedicated positions
  • Guaranteed minimum per dispatch, as well as availability bonuses

Fuel Compliance Pay: Up to $.05 c.p.m. for taking the proper route, fueling at correct locations, and not idling the truck excessively.

Hirschbach Per Diem Pay

Per Diem Reimbursement: $.15 c.p.m. up to $59 per day of non-taxable income

Hirschbach Driver Benefits

  • Medical benefits for company drivers start the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment. Rates vary based on plan options selected. Critical illness & short term disability coverage also available.
  • Free $10,000 life insurance policy (driver only)
  • Vacation pay and matching 401K after one year of employment. Vacation pay grandfathered from previous employer. Vacation pay is $500 per week.
  • Drivers get one week of vacation after 1 year of employment, 2 weeks after 3 years, 3 weeks after 10 years. 401K – company matches 33% of employee contribution up to first 6% of annual salary
  • Paid transportation, meals, and hotel for orientation
  • $200 Walmart gift card provided upon successful completion of orientation
  • $1,500 Driver Referral Bonus with $500 paid after referred driver completes orientation and another $500 each after 30 & 60 days of continuous employment
  • Trucks equipped with BestPass & EZ Pass
