In May 2004, Robbie Pike and Scott Smith founded P&S Transportation with 20 owner-operators and 35 trailers. Since its formation, P&S has established itself as a transportation and logistics leader in the flatbed industry, now operating 14 locations across the U.S., with a fleet of over 1,000 trucks.

Their merger with Grayson Mitchell, in 2012, allowed them to further expand their presence in the flatbed industry.

Getting Hired At P & S Transportation

P & S Transportation Minimum Hiring Qualifications

  • At least 23 years old.
  • Driver must obtain a TWIC Card
  • No DWI or DUI listed on MVR in the past 10 years.
  • No more than one "at-fault" accident on MVR within the past 3 years.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen as established by the U.S. Department of Transportation in 49 CFR Parts 391 and 40.
  • 2 years of driving experience with a Class A commercial vehicle driver's license; will consider at least one year of flatbed experience.

  • Hiring Drivers With Felonies

    Has to be 10 yrs ago or more and is evaluated case by case.

  • Hiring Drivers With A DUI

    No DUI or DWI listed on your MVR within the last 3 years.

P & S Transportation Driver Pay

27% of linehaul revenue, which typically averages 46 to 48 cents per mile paid weekly by direct deposit.

P & S Transportation Driver Benefits

  • $2,000 sign-on bonus to new P&S drivers
  • $2,000 bonus for each referred driver that P&S hires.
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance. Coverage is also available for eligible dependent family members.
  • $10,000 life insurance is offered at no cost to the employee, with the option to purchase additional coverage.
