A & R Logistics company logo

Through its subsidiaries, A&R Logistics offers a diverse menu of transportation and logistics services. A&R Transport is a bulk plastic and dry flowable transportation provider with about 25 terminals and 10 warehouses throughout the US; its fleet includes 800 trucks and 1,000 pneumatic trailers.

A&R Global Logistics arranges freight transportation (mostly bulk shipments of dry plastic pallets in hopper trucks for chemical companies) through a network of independent carriers, and A&R Packaging and Distribution operates warehouses and provides packaging services. UTC Overseas provides freight-forwarding and door-to-door services in Europe.

Getting Hired At A & R Logistics

A & R Logistics Minimum Hiring Qualifications

  • Be a minimum of 21 years of age;
  • Have a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) from their state of residence;
  • Have six months of recent, verifiable, over-the-road tractor/trailer experience with a regulated carrier (waived for military veterans);
  • Have no unexplained gaps in employment history over 30 days in the last three years;
  • Not have an excessive number of jobs in the last three years;
  • Successfully pass a minimum six-month DOT physical, pre-placement drug screen and a company-required conditional offer of employment evaluation test (COEET);
  • Supply a full Motor Vehicle Record, DAC and PSP;
  • Have no DUI/DWI, impaired-driving or implied-consent convictions within the past six years;
  • Have no more than three violations total within CSA's Unsafe Driving and HOS Compliance BASICs in the past 24 months;
  • Have no more than two Unsafe Driving convictions within the past 18 months;
  • Consent to a review of any 15+ mph over or Construction/Work Zone speeding violations within the past three years;
  • Consent to a review of all reckless or careless driving convictions within the past three years;
  • Consent to a review of all felonies and other convictions that prohibit entry into Canada;
  • Have no more than one preventable accident/incident resulting in damage in the past 24 months.

    Local drivers must live within a commutable distance from the terminal and are home very night and weekends. Regional drivers are typically home 2-3 nights out of the week and most weekends. OTR drivers stay out at least 10-14 days at a time.
