Best companies for new grads

Hello all...posting on behalf of my husband. He is currently in a CDL school getting his CDL A. They have recruiters coming in, and of course everything sounds good, but wanted some first hand feedback. We're currently in NY but will be relocating to Charleston, SC in June. What are some companies that he can work for that hire out of school, and are good with home time? Pay is not necessarily a big concern as my job will keep us afloat financially. We have a 4 year old and understand getting OTR experience is the best way to eventually get into local jobs, but the more home time the better!
