PER DIEM

Ok thank you all.

If your company doesn't offer perdiem, then I'm pretty sure you're SOL on claiming that as a company driver for your 2018 federal return (filed in 2019). If you are receiving perdiem already on your pay, keep track of how many days you are not within 60 miles of your home and give that number of days to your trucking knowledgeable tax preparer.

PER DIEM

I was asked to run through April. I've from home since Feb 8th.

If you’re on a “flat rate” you probably don’t get per diem because you’re expected to get home every day. But when you say you’ve “been out” three months, are you saying you’ve been unable to go home for three months?

As for pay periods, I’m dumbfounded that a company can’t explain their own pay system.

PER DIEM

Hello everyone, I"m interested in finding out more info on per diem. Are drivers suppose to get per diem if they're on a dedicated daily flat rate account? (called Wal-Mart pop up). I've read per diem is given when you're away from home. I've been out three months. Also how is it calculated? One last question, do anyone know why my pay period dates are not the same as the companies. I was told they're not sure why I have different info on my check stubs. Thanks in advance.
