The mission of the Bridgerland Technical College is to deliver competency-based, employer-guided career and technical education to both secondary and post-secondary students through traditional and technology-enhanced methodologies.
Commercial Driver's License: this program is taught by certified instructors and includes classroom and behind the wheel training. This test is administered by the Driver License Division at their Brigham City location. Training consists of a minimum of 135 hours in the classroom, 60 hours in the lab, and 45 hours of behind the wheel training. Upon successful completion of the training program, students must pass an over the road driving test to obtain a license. The driving test may be taken with any “third-party tester.” For the convenience of the students, Bridgerland Applied Technology College has a “third-party tester” on staff. High school diploma/GED required.
Monday through Friday, 8 am - 2:30 pm. Classes begin approximately every 5 weeks.
Estimate: $2,765. Course fees vary.
Tuition includes Department of Transportation (DOT) physical, temporary commercial driver’s license (CDL) learner permit, CDL, truck usage, and fuel.
This program is not eligible for the Federal Pell Grant. There are scholarships and waivers available.
The Utah State Approving Agency for Veterans Education approves Bridgerland Technical College and its programs for payment of VA education benefits. Veterans and other eligible persons receiving VA education benefits must meet satisfactory progress and attendance requirements to continue to receive benefits.
