Licensed by the Ohio Department of Public Safety as a CDL Driver Training School, Tri-C Transportation Center says it is unique in offering small class sizes, allowing them to give more attention to each student during training. The program comprises 160 hours of classroom and hands-on training and testing -- providing instruction in driver safety, transporting cargo safety, air brakes, combination vehicles, tank vehicles, and hazardous materials. Training includes pre-trip vehicle inspection, vehicle control, and on-road driving (required for skills testing). The program also introduces students to the new CSA methodology for scoring carriers and drivers, where any safety violations are organized into the seven BASICs.
Cost of the CDL-A Program is $5,495.00, and the Class B is $4,200 and includes:
