Grays Harbor College

GHC offers workforce education credit and training for community members preparing for new careers, upgrading their work skills, or furthering their individual interests. Earn a technical degree or take a short-term training to enhance your current skillset.

Courses Offered

The Commercial Transportation and Maintenance Program is designed to teach the student the basic skills and knowledge to successfully and safely operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle in inter-state commerce. Students who successfully complete the core courses can obtain their Class A Commercial Driver’s License.

Prerequisites: Place in READ 080 or must have a CASAS score of 220 or higher. Have a valid Washington State driver’s license. Must have/provide: Clean/clear DMV 5-year abstract DOT physical; meet requirements of FMCSR, sections 391.41 and 391.49; Obtain valid Commercial Learners Permit (CLP) from Washington State DMV.
