Lee College Truck and Heavy Equipment Operator CDL Program is offered at the maximum security John W. Wynne Unit within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and is located on FM 2821 West & Hwy. 75 in Huntsville, Texas. The program boasts a 94 percent completion rate on CDL certification and challenges students with strict training standards based on Texas DPS. The emphasis is on tractor-trailer driving fundamentals, with industry based curriculum requirements. There is extensive training with state of the art equipment, so graduates meet high industry standards and ethics.

What are Requirements to Join the CDL Program?

Offenders must satisfy strict screening requirements for admission into the 22 semester credit hour program and the opportunity to complete a CDL examination.

The estimated tuition cost of the Lee College CDL program is $746 per student.

  • Students enrolled in the CDL Truck Driving program are also responsible for a $45 technology fee and DPS testing fee of $100.
  • Additional costs of enrollment per student include $250 for instructional resources (gasoline) and a DOT physical of $100.
  • All costs and fees associated with the CDL Truck Driving program must be collected prior to enrollment to successfully complete the program.
