Established in 1963, Orange Technical College Mid Florida Campus is located in southwest Orange County and is situated on 106 acres of land. Mid Florida Campus has four Adult and Community Centers, six Instructional Service Centers providing apprenticeship training, one auxiliary site at a local high school, and customized training through its Center for Business and Industry Training (CBIT).
Mid Florida Campus is one of the most technically advanced training centers in the State of Florida and is accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education (COE) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACSCASI).

The mission of this program is to prepare students for employment as tractor trailer truck drivers. Training includes operation of trucks and tractor-trailer vehicles; handling cargo, reporting delays or accidents on the road and record keeping, communication and leadership skills, mathematical skills, human relations and employability skills, and safe and efficient work practices. This course covers Class A license training.
This program is a planned sequence of instruction consisting of one occupational completion point. OCPs provide a student with early completion training options linked to employment opportunities established by the Florida Department of Education based on the Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) system and accepted industry titles.
